The Roberto Rocca Education Program is an initiative to provide scholarships and fellowships to talented undergraduate and graduate students of engineering and the applied sciences in selected countries. Founded in 2005 to honor the late Chairman of the Techint Group, Roberto Rocca, the Roberto Rocca Education Program is supported by the Tenaris, Ternium and Techint companies.
The Fellowships are for exceptional university graduates from Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Indonesia, Mexico, Romania and Venezuela who will pursue or are pursuing Ph.D. studies at a university of the student’s choosing outside his or her home country.
The Fellowship are targeted to specific disciplines of Engineering: Mechanical, Metallurgy, Materials Science and Petroleum.
Fellowships are awarded for a period of two years and may be used for tuition, fees and living expenses. The award amount will depend on the candidate’s financial need but in general Fellowships do not cover all expenses and candidates are encouraged to seek complementary sources of funding. At the discretion of the Roberto Rocca Education Program, fellowships may be renewed for up to an additional two years.
The application period is currently open (it opens in Mid-October every year) and the deadline is December 11, 2015.
