The International Petroleum Technology Conference (IPTC) is hosting an Education Week, in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in December 2014, for the benefit of the best 3rd and 4th year undergraduate students in science, geoscience and engineering from qualified institutions across the globe. It is anticipated that some 75-100 of the best students will be selected to participate in the IPTC Kuala Lumpur Education Week. IPTC will cover travel and accommodation expenses for the selected students.
The purpose of Education Week is to give the students a clear insight into the petroleum industry, to work together on a joint technical project and to provide opportunities for students to form new friendships and extend their network. At the same time, the students will be interacting with a number of major industry employers who are constantly looking to recruit the best talent from institutions across the region.
Up to two (2) students from our Department will be selected. Please send an e-mail to email@example.com by 7th March 2014 if interested in participating.
Please just include an updated transcript of your exam scores. Please also indicate in your email exam scores that have not been registered yet. No other certificates are needed at this screening stage.
After the first screening stage the selected students will be asked to send their online application which includes: transcripts, personal statement, academic background career objectives and reasons for wanting to attend Education Week. Submission deadline is Tuesday, 1 April 2014.
All students nominated must:
1. Be enrolled in full time, undergraduate education until spring/summer semester 2015.
2. Have excellent level of written and spoken English language.
3. Obtain permission to be away from their studies from 7-13 December 2014, including the travel days.
4. Must have 27 or above average score.
5. Have not participated at a previous IPTC, AAPG, EAGE, SEG or SPE Education Programme.

|on-technical discussions and team building activities organised by Young Professionals.|
|9 December||Education Week
|Form mixed groups of five (5) for a combination of activities with E&P sponsoring companies
and Young Professionals. Group assignment work begins.
|10-12 December||International Petroleum Technology Conference (IPTC)||Students will attend the conference panel and technical sessions and the exhibition, field trips, and will continue to work on
|12 December||Education Week Closing||Student Group Presentations and Awards Presentations held.|
